Note
In order to remain within the RECYCLABS objectives, it is possible to study freshwater and seawater in some detail. Drinking water is intended for human consumption and is subject to very strict quality standards. The WHO (among others) publishes these standards, which relate to specific criteria linked to human health (pollution by toxic substances, contamination by pathogens, etc.). Given the very high number of parameters to be assessed and the use of expensive equipment, the study of drinking water will be covered, but without reaching the level of complexity imposed by the standards.
